Once you submit your inquiry form, our mediator will be in touch to discuss if mediation is a good fit for your family. Once both parties have agreed to mediation, you will receive an intake packet which will include the Consent to Mediation, Basic Info Sheet, and any worksheets included in your package. Once payment and all documents are received from both parties, the mediator will set up a mediation session (in-person in the Wabash Valley area or via Zoom/FaceTime throughout the rest of Indiana). If desired, the mediator will also work with you to file the initial Petition for Dissolution in your county of residence prior to the mediation session.
COLLABORATE
This process begins with your mediation session and ends only when both parties are satisfied with the agreed upon terms of the settlement. Prior to the mediation session, the mediator will have reviewed your worksheets, and work with you during the session to begin building what will ultimately be your Settlement Agreement. After the session, you and the mediator will continue to work together via text, phone, email, and additional mediation sessions if necessary until a final Settlement Agreement is reached. Both parties are fully involved in all stages of the Collaborate process.
COMPLETE
Once both parties are in agreement as to all aspects of the Settlement Agreement, the mediator will finalize all documents included in your package and send to both parties for final signatures (and notaries where required). Once these documents are signed, notarized, and returned, the mediator will ensure that they are timely filed with the Court.
